The Palace building has undergone numerous transformations over the centuries, but its construction comes from the time of the Arabs. The foundations are of that time and vestiges have been found when doing reforms in the house. It is unknown who could belong to the house at that time but surely it was someone principal given its size and proximity to the fortress.

The palace acquired its neoclassical imprint at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, when the aristocracy established itself definitively in the Court.

The last transformation of the palace took place on the occasion of the canonical coronation of the Virgen del Carmen, in April 1925, when a wing was added to the house to accommodate the guests who attended, as both the king and the government in full They moved to Jerez for that event.
